Hi,

i have a server with directadmin as controlpanel, the main domain called example.com is the maindomain.

I want to create some mailaddressen for the maindomain, but how can i create them?

For resellers it's easy, but how to do it for the maindomain?

Regards

Presumably your main domain is set up under the "user" panel for admin.

Log in as admin, then on the right side click on "user".

Hi,

if i login as admin, and check the Access Level for users, i only see:

Domain
No Data to Show

That means there's no domain created there.

So if you've already set up the main domain, then you've set it up under a reseller, or a reseller's user.

If you haven't set it up yet you can set it up either under the Admin's user control panel, under a reseller's user control panel, or as a user under a reseller.

I had the same issue u did, I never created a reseller, but i created my maindomain name under a user I created from the reseller level link. then i started creating users still with no reseller, now my catch all to my maindomain name is catching emails from all of my users. There is definately and error somewhere. If anyone can help. Let us know! Thanks!

There is no error or bug. Admin is a reseller as well and if you create accounts from the reseller panel it will be exactly the same as when you first create a reseller and then create the accounts under the reseller, no difference at all.

Please give us more information about your setup so we can try and help you.

I kept reading forums, I believe my error was caused by incorrect hostname... instead of having server1.nerdytechs.com it was just nerdytechs.com I read that could confuse exim.

Let me know your thoughts,
thanks for the reply!

This is not the problem as I also run my domain name (2nd level) under the admin account and I don't have problems.
