EmailOnly Skin?

Hi,

Trying to make it possible to create an "Email Only" package where if users have that package selected they can only have access to email related features. I'm used to the way cPanel works where you have a feature manager. You create a custom one, enable/disable what you want and then make sure the package you have created is set to that.

I have been reading the following: https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=271 although it's from 2013 I think it probably may still stand.

Is this still the best method of achieving this? If that is the case how can you force the following: Icons Grid and Traditional Grid Theme. I've tried a few things but just the default evolution skin appears for the user who is set to "emailonly". If I change this back to "Evolution" which is what is default for everyone else, the icons grid and traditional grid theme appears again.

Or is it better to create a reseller account just for emailsonly clients, then customer the skin as the reseller and then do it that way?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

Coming back to this - Anyone can shed some light on how to make it possible for certain accounts to only have access to email functions? Would love for this to work with the icons grid theme if possible.

While obviously not directly what you're looking for, I'm happy to share how we customize the interface for our users as we're an email only service and we outsource the control panel aspect by using DA:

There are some things that you still end up stuck with. If you do webmail subdomains with SSL you have to expose the SSL interface which has a checkbox to force https redirects and customers don't understand that this goes in public_html and not /var/www/html/roundcube*.

Of course, customers can still access these things by hand if they know the way.
