Exim-4.40

There are some major code changes in this release.

Can we please wait for the .41 release :) ?

I'm monitoring the exim-users list and will report when it appears stable.

In only five days, eh.

What would you do?

Do you really want a new update every few days?

I'd like to see it settle down a bit.

There are certain releases which we come to see as benchmark releases; unfortunately usually not until after the fact.

Considering how quickly .41 came out, me; I'd still like to wait a while.

Do you really think it's important enough to be on the cutting edge so as to not wait for stability?

Jeff

Don't take it so serious, Jeff.

Just informing you such a release only, ok?:)

hello,

i have found only the da_exim-4.34-1.i386.rpm

have DA a version 4.40 or 4.41 for fedora core 2 ?

we have a little bit trouble when we send mails greater than 2 mb the mta was very slow, smaller mails are ok and fast. i hope with a higher version the problem ends.

thanks for answer

It's unlikely that updating to a newer version will solve the problem you're seeing in transporting emails over 2 mb; there's been no changes to exim that would affect that.

When we had a similar problem we discovered the problem was the handshaking between the NIC on our server and the router. You should make sure that both your NIC card and the router interface are running at full duplex and at the same speed; sometimes autonegotiation just doesn't work.
