We're currently running some tests with CentOS 7 and DirectAdmin before putting it into production. One of the things we've noticed is that since we have upgraded to CentOS 7.1 the hostname Exim picks up automatically is actually the node name. If we have a server with a hostname of server.example.com it means that Exim will use 'server' for it's helo messages. That wasn't the case before we upgraded to 7.1 and 7.0 doesn't seem to have the same issue.
It's a relatively easy fix considering that you can change the primary_hostname setting in exim.conf, but I was wondering if I was missing something else. Has anyone seen this kind of behaviour before?
