AFAIK, FreeBSD moved Perl to the ports system as early as 5.2.bjseiler said:No perl by default. That is new and I imagine will take at least some time for DA to alter the installation.
I presently have a client whose server is running the latest version of DA fine on 5.4-STABLE. However you will note in order for bind to run properly with DA you either will need to copy your rndc to ndc as DA only uses the ndc command to do reloads from my understanding at this time. Either that or install bind83 out of the ports collection and then move the system named binary to named.old so the bind8.3 is found and ran. Also you will want to add inetd_enable="YES" to the /etc/rc.conf as imapd is called from the inetd wrapper.I hope directadmin can support this soon.
