I looked the instructions at:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=306

It states that I need to add the IP to the whitelist file to keep from getting blacklisted, but no luck.

I have setup a monitor to load the login page every few minutes to make sure DA is up and running. This apparently counts as a failed login so after so many of these, the IP of the machine that is doing the monitoring gets automatically blocked on port 2222 and I get a failure alert from the monitoring software.

I have added the IP of the monitoring server to the whitelist, removed it from the blacklist (more than once) and even restarted the DA service for good measure.

Seems that no matter what I do, I keep getting emails saying that the IP was blacklisted.

Driving me crazy, thanks in advance for any help.

Why dont you just use tcp 2222 for check if DA is working?

I do use this way with my monitor system (nagios), i just use the check_tcp function on port 2222, if it reply with OK, that's all...

Regards
