I DirectAdmin overkill for my situation?
On my backup box, I have been using Webmin and I am finding the interface less intuitive than DirectAdmin on a UML server we lease. I am considered DA for the backup server -- going for the lifetime license.
I run multiple domains on a singler server. I do not lease space on my server to other people. However, I offer subscription-based access to premium sections of the websites.
For a site we are working one, we will be adding a forum, classifieds sections, and so forth.
We currently use a blend of PHP, perl, hand rolled databases and MySql on Linux to handle the sites.
