My Direct Admin was behind NAT and Public IP set to sub interface "eth0:1" and we had no problem renewing our permanent license monthly.
This interface was deleted by mistake, and after that, although the license renewal script was successful, but the following message was displayed when entering the web panel:

License has expired​

The eth0:1 interface has been added, but the problem is still not resolved

You can change the interface in /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf

ethernet_dev=eth0:1

service directadmin restart

ethernet_dev=eth0:1 exist in /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf

This maybe if your OS is old? if its 32 bit its not supported anymore.
