Our company is going to try DA in the new servers. Before me place our order, we have some questions:

1. Is it only restrict to 1 IP? Will we need to contact DA everytime the servers change IP?

2. If yes in Q1, what will happen if DA discontinue the service or DA's license server down?

We just don't want some outside factors affect our system's reliability.

Correct, each time the IP on eth0 (or any adapter you specify) changes, you will need to contact DA to update the license for the new IP.

You have a 7 days grace period, so you can go 7 days being unable to connect to the DA licensing system before losing DA access until thats resolved.

You will be warned if there is a problem from day1... so you will have 7 days to contact DA if you have any issues.

Dear Chris,

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean the control panel will be malfunction after 7 days cannot contact DA's server? We just want to measure the risk before move to DA. Thanks

DA will stop after the 7 days, until the license is updated and can connect again.

If you notify DA of the IP change just before it takes place, you should be fine.

As soon as the license becomes invalid (for example, incorrect IP) or you cannot connect to the DA Licensing system, you have 7 days to get in touch with DA to resolve the issue... which in most cases, is plenty of time :)

thanks, chris :)

i passed the info to my boss and let him make the final decision to use DA or not.
