I am extremely new to managing a whole server. I am actually a reseller and had a customer that needed to go dedicated. Basically they have two domains. So the box will be only for them. I am confused on the IP DNS setup and hope someone could help. I have read the docs and dont quite understand what to do outside of a reseller environment since I will not be reselling.
Have 2 IPs set up currently
IP1 : server ...showing two users
IP2: assigned to admin (status free)
2 domains
1st domain uses IP 1 and the DNS that is uses this domain name
2nd domain uses IP 2 in all DNS settings
When I go to http://IP1 I get the Apache page and I think all is well here.
When I go to http://IP2 I get the message:
This IP is being shared among many domains.
To view the domain you are looking for, simply enter the domain name in the location bar of your web browser.
How do I assign only the one domain to IP2 since these are the only two domains that are going to be held on this box. They will eventually have SSL which is why each has their own IP.
Any help is appreciated...I am confused and need to get this up and running.
