I'm trying to install a new web app on a subdomain. The domain has Wordpress installed in private_html and at first I uncompressed the new app in the subdomain directory in public html.
But I kept running into 403 and 500 errors pointing to redirect issues.
Moving the files to private_html/subdomain got me as far as installing the app. And then we're back to 403 and 500 errors.
BTW the DirectAdmin server is a working production server with several other live sites that are operating normally. So I'm guessing I either have an .htaccess issue or the like.
Error logs initially inidacted a redirect issue caused by unpacking the files to the public_html directory instead of private_html
