Spam Filter alternative? ASSP?

Hello,

I've installed exim/spamassassin/clamav through custombuild 2.0 and getting a lot of spam now... Therefor I'm searching for alternatives and found ASSP.

As I understand, it's only a proxy with many filter features between user and mta. So it could be worth a try. I haven't found any (not outdated) configuration or install hints. So

Anybody have experience on running ASSP (http://sourceforge.net/projects/assp/) on a DA machine?

Before you try going that route, have you upgraded to the latest SpamBlocker (nobaloney.net) file? And have you made sure that either the default or my exim.conf file actually check RBLs, by making sure that your /etc/virtual/use_rbl_domains file is a link to /etc/virtual/domains?
