Hi
my old hdd crashed and we install a new OS on new HDD
we have all data on old hdd
how can we transfer all users from old HDD ?
we have access to /usr/local/directradmin data

also where db user/pass for users stored ?

Thank u all

The directadmin users are located at /etc/passwd and their passwords in /etc/shaddow.
You can find the virtual user email passwords in /etc/virtual/<sitename>/passwd.
The virtual users ftp passwords are located in /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/<username>/domains/<sitename>.ftp

Good luck with your manual restore.

Hello,

If you're doing it manually, this list of paths will help:
http://www.directadmin.com/paths.html

There is also a link on how to use the set_permissions.sh script.

Be very careful with the /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, /etc/group files. If you copy them and they break somehow, you may get locked out.

If after help from user tnuz, and from DirectAdmin support you're still having a problem figuring out how to do this, you may need professional help from a DirectAdmin support provider.

i mean if i copy all config pathes fromm old to new hdd it will work ?
what about mysql users data ?

I don't think any of us can guaranty your old server vs your new server. I know that with my experience as a systems analyst and a systems administrator, I can do whatever is required to make it work.

Depending on your skill level you may need professional help.
