Transfer my website ?

Hi,

need some help. Hope that someone give me some answers.
I need to transfer my website to another server.

Actually i use DirectAdmin and the new server will have it too.

Is there a easy way to create a complete back-up of the website and load it to the new server ?

Website based on PHP and i need to transfer my MySQL database to.

Are you a website user?

If so, then you just use the user-level backup and, after the new site is created, the user-level restore.

Otherwise if you're admin of both servers you have some other options.

Hi Jeff,

thank you very much for the answers. Now iam hosted on a Virtual Private Server - Account (Reseller). So i had Admin rights on the DirectAdmin-Panel.

New server will be a "real" server with Admin rights.
So what are the the other options ?

The user-level backup is probably the best way to backup and restore one user (all his/her domains).

To back up all the accounts of a reseller you can use the reseller level backup.

To back up all the accounts of an entire server you can use the server level backup functions, but they do NOT include an automatic restore function.

Of course if you're an admin with root access you can backup any files you want manually.
