Hello,
when trying update DirecAdmin there is an error: Unable to check latest version

Where is the problem?

To get help you need to provide more information.

What version of DirectAdmin are you using?
What distribution and version of OS?
Did you just upgrade from a prior version before the problem? If so which one?
Are you using any skin/theme customization?
Which skin/theme are you using?

DirectAdmin 1.641 license_directAdmin_os_Debian_9_0_64
debian9_amd64
skin: enhanced

It seems that problem arose after hard reboot of server but I'm not sure. Like I wrote, when I try to update DA there is an error: Unable to check latest version

I don't know if it is important but field for Current Available Version shows: |current_version|

Could you please try switching to Evolution and see if the issue persists?

Are there any errors in the DA journal log journalctl -u directadmin -f?

Which update channel are you following /usr/local/directadmin/directadmin c | grep update_channel?

You can simulate version check from CLI with the following command dig +short current-version.directadmin.com txt.

It should work fine as long as you server are able to resolve DNS queries.

Hi,
in Evolution I can't still update DA (I can't see Available Update).

Error log:
error unable to get latest version channel=current error=lookup debian9-version.directadmin.com on 127.0.0.1:53: no such host

update channel: update_channel=current

Ohhh I see. On August 1st Debian 9 became EOL, so DA switched to legacy release channel. We have not released anything into the Debian 9 EOL channel.

Thank you for reporting this. We pushed out the latest 1.642 version. But please consider upgrading your distro to a non EOL version to continue receiving updates.
