Hello, I want to update openssl from its current version of 0.9.8 to 1.0.01.

Reason is so that I can provide TLS 1.2 support for my SSL certificates.
Please what do I need to recompile so that exisiting programs are not broken.
Will I need to rebuild apache, php, exim etc.

Thanks

Are you on Centos 6.x?
I just updated openssl to version 1.0.1e-16 which is the newest.

This is an OS package, not installed via Directadmin. So you can update it with yum (or apt-get if you are on a Debian based system).
No need to recompile other things, I never did that before.
There is also a new bind version (and some other stuff) which you can easily upgrade the same way.
