using cron to untar?

Hello,

There is another thread on this board that talks about how everyone would like directadmin to offer the function for clients to untar files using filemanager.

In that thread someone says that clients can do this now by running a cron to untar the tarball.

Can someone kindly show me the cron syntax to achieve this?

Hello,

Cron is not required.

To extract a tar.gz file, simply click the "extract" button next to it in the FileManager.

The cron method might have been posted before the extraction option was added to DA.

Note, it only works on tar.gz files, not just "tar" files.
