/usr/local/mysql/data/: No such file or directory

After messing something up (again) i'm getting this error:
/usr/local/mysql/data/: No such file or directory
I check and it's there.
Tried custombuild and getting this:
chown: cannot access `/usr/local/mysql/data/dds24.blabla.err': No such file or directory

./build versions shows this:

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql: unknown variable 'log-slow-queries=/var/log/mysql/mysql-slow.log'
Latest version of MySQL: 5.0.51a
Installed version of MySQL:

Seems Mysql ran away.....
I'm stuck, what should i do?

Try putting in /etc/my.cnf
datadir=/var/lib/mysql

Nope, doesn't work.
I just got home and DA also stopped working, i see the loginscreen but after entering username and password it goes 404
I have no clue what's going on...

Now it popped back up....
Strange, still no mysql and it seems that i lost all data as well.
Will try the backup made in mysqlBAK.
When i check the users, i don't see any databases for them.
I assume something is wrong with the users confs?
