Why is webalizer installed as a package during the directadmin installation and then compiled with customapache so theres two instances of it? Why not have one or the other, might as well be the customapache one so it can be easily upgraded.

Also, why not add other programs such as proftpd pop etc in a system so that they can be upgraded easier than having to keep track of the latest ports?

Hello,

The webalizer in the customapache script is only used if the port didn't install the binary. It's handy when a precompiled binary just isn't working.

I would *love* to put everything in the customapache script :) The reason we used the rpms/ports etc is because it takes too long to do installs if everything needs to be compiled. (lots of datacenters who don't have that kind of time)
