zzliplib failure - FreeBSD 5.4

Fresh install this morning on a FreeBSD 5.4 system. First problem I had was hangin on the mhash installation whereas I had to download mhash-0.9.1 and move over the mhash.3 file as referenced here - http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6921&highlight=mhash

Second problem, which is why I am posting, seems to be with zziplib. The following errors occur during the build and apache will not start. Is there a version of zziplib I should downgrade to?

Just setup another server and same problem....................................................................


I went to zziplib-0.10.82 and mhash-0.9.1 on both servers and now everything works. I tried mhash-0.9.4a but that failed as well.
