Correct, but I can understand @JosKlever as it's not really kind of 3rd party anymore since DA is going to maintain it and to updates themselves seperately from other git cloners. So kind of took development over for DA this way. A link would be easier, I do agree to that, but if it can be seen...

    Server's Hostname change

Additionally the rDNS/PTR record must be correct too. Personally I wouldn't change something which works fine unless it's really necessary, but that's me. :)

Thank you! csf updated from 15.01 to 15.02 Can we find somewhere which changes are made? CSF changelog from DA?

    Cpanel backup to DA

No problem, we all started as novices once. You can do as smtalk says too ofcourse. But if you want to know how to do it manually, it's like this to adjust credentials. In Directadmin, create a mysql database with some username and some password. Just for example databasename=user_dbforum...

Problems logging into the control panel

Which DA license and version do you have? Version you can check via SSH and type: da version To begin with, try disabling any addons especially like cookie blockers and kindlike.

How to Transfer All Email Accounts from DirectAdmin to cPanel?

    Beste check this. https://docs.directadmin.com/directadmin/backup-restore-migration/migration-to-da.html

Can't Connect to Email via iPhone/Outlook, Webmail Works Fine

Same guy as with the kernel panic thread. But how posts are all setup with layout and bold, it very much looks like AI.

DA custom config files version history.

In the older days (until 3 or 4 years ago) these changes were kept in the /services/SpamBlocker directory on the files server. But that directory is removed. Would be nice if DA could keep the changelog there again, or something similar.

    Cpanel backup to DA

It's not that difficult. You can extract the public_html and the database from the tar.gz file and then just upload the public_html content again to your site and restore the database file. Then adjust database username and password. This way you don't need to setup and configure the forum from...

    Cpanel backup to DA

That might be the case. Best is to mention which backup file you do have and maybe somebody else can answer then. Another option is to unpack the file and restore everything manually, which is more difficult. However chances are this has to be done, but I'm not sure, been some time I used that...

    Cpanel backup to DA

It's odd because normally the admin.root.admin.tar.gz should have worked. If it doesn't work, check this post and the rest of that thread too, this was also to get a cpanel backup to a DA personal license...

    Cpanel backup to DA

Oke then maybe try admin.admin.admin.tar.gz if that works. Your current admin account might be overwritten.
  14. Richard G

    Cpanel backup to DA

That can be correct. That's from the legacy personal account. Only 1 admin account is allowed on this license. Where did you read that? Next to that, it shouldn't be myusername.tar.gz because you don't have a username, there is only username admin on that license because only the admin account...

Oeps yes, I didn't bother to look but knew people would understand. It's indeed SMTP_BLOCK and it was also ON by default on normal CSF/LFD installations before DA started using it. My mistake. I corrected my post accordingly. Thank you for pointing it out! (y) But some people turn it to OFF to...

Can a Superadmin account also be a Reseller?

Yes if you want, that's up to you. Any account can be a reseller account or even an admin account. And as @johannes wrote a reseller account doesn't even need a real domain. So as you can see a lot of things are possible with accounts.

Can a Superadmin account also be a Reseller?

1.) user admin with domain advel.com and ns1 and ns2 advel.com 2.) another user account which you make reseller and domain cheapmeals.com 3.) You can use ns1 and ns2.advel.com for cheapmeals.com but if you want ns1 and ns2.cheapmeals.com you can create those too if you want, that's your own...

Can a Superadmin account also be a Reseller?

It can, because admin is both admin and reseller. But it's not required. So if you want cheapmeals.com as seperate reseller account, you have to create a seperate user account for it and make that account a reseller. So yes, cheapmeals.com can be used as primary reseller account.

    DirectAdmin 1.668

Be aware. Maybe you had set it to "no" afterwards, to prevent DA from changing the SMTP_BLOCK=0 to SMTP_BLOCK=1 in csf.conf when using external smtp. Seems DA sometimes changes that. However DA has to keep of that setting in the future then. Or make an option to not change existing configs.
