    Errors rebuilding exim.conf

Hi, Running CentOS 6, this night I updated several services with the main purpose to reduce the amount of spam. So with a little help of Custom Build 2 (rev:1585) I did the following: yum install db4-devel cyrus-sasl-devel perl-ExtUtils-Embed cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild ./build...

How to use Let's Encrypt certificate for Exim and Dovecot

Hi Sellerone, My apologies, I should have been more clear on this, but Tristan is right. It would have been better if I typed mail.userdomain.ext instead of mail.domain.ext, because this is what I actually ment... So I registered a certificate for servername.serverdomain.ext (with all other...

How to use Let's Encrypt certificate for Exim and Dovecot

Thought so... Than it's the same problem Dennis has... :( My certificate is only valid for mail.servername.eu, and for almost all hosted domains I use mail.domain.ext for smtp. So yes, TB needs to ask permission to accept the certificate :-) And because I'm not the only user on the server I...

How to use Let's Encrypt certificate for Exim and Dovecot

I experienced another annoying "problem" with the LE certificates... I myself use Thunderbid and K9 Mail and both programs keep informing me I have to accept a new certificate and this occurs every 2 months. When I click accept the notification is gone, but like I said, 2 months later (when the...

How to use Let's Encrypt certificate for Exim and Dovecot

I whish I could... I have no own DA account. After I created one I noticed I have to buy new a licence to be able to do something with it. Currently I'm running 2 VPS's with DA running on it; these licenses are supplied by the company I rent the VPS's. So as far as I can see, no possibility to...

How to use Let's Encrypt certificate for Exim and Dovecot

I tried requesting a certficate for my vps, but it ended up without succes. Requesting certificates for the domains that are hosted on that server works perfectly though! I'm using letsencrypt=1 in directadmin.conf: # cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts [root@server03 scripts]# ./letsencrypt.sh...

    Low ESF score

Hi, I experience the same problem actually. Below are some of the logs on my machine: The first: And the second: Just for logging I slightly altered the default settings for ESF (I want to check wether the spam gets detected, when it's deleted immediately I can't check): I find it...

    Trouble with Letsencrypt

Right, I was afraid you would say that... Any ideas if that will become possible in the future? But please help me out with the next step.. I can manualy create such a san_config file when needed, so that won't be a problem. I searched around and found a variarity of solutions. I...

    Trouble with Letsencrypt

Hi Martynas, I understand DNS: has to be in front and the comma separated part. However, this is in the .san_config file. What I would like to know is how to do this in the DA webinterface. None of my customers are allowed to use shell, let alone they would get the rights to enter...

    Trouble with Letsencrypt

I must agree, I also think it goes wrong there: [ SAN ] subjectAltName=DNS:mydomain.com, sub01.mydomain.com, sub02.mydomain.com, DNS:www.mydomain.com, sub01.mydomain.com, sub02.mydomain.com But that creates the next question: how to request a certificate from within DA using multiple...

    Trouble with Letsencrypt

Hi, With some similar approach I'm playing around with LE too. Just found out DA is supporting this, although it is still in Bèta. When I create a certificate for www.example.com everything registers well, ending up with a working certificate. However, I have several users (including myself)...

Allright, I adjusted the settings according to John's code. I'll wait and see what happens and let you know.

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

John, Unfortunately your fix doesn't work. All high-scoring spam with empty return-path<> is stored in my regular mailbox again :( "regular" spam still can be found in the spambox. A few headers (might be usefull?): Return-path: <> X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 (2011-06-06) on...

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

Hi John, Thanx for the input. I think I agree valid errors should not be removed/moved to spambox. The main goal here is to avoid mailboxes getting filled up with spam, but preferrably "the right way". I applied your suggestion to a few of my own domains and I'll post my experiences with it :)

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

It's not quite a new problem actually. Once or twice a year this happens, but most times just for 1 or 2 days. By the looks of it, the cause was always "simply" the empty return-path <> (but I can't check it to be sure). I did no updates recently, however my installations are quite fresh. The...

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

The template has to be done for sure. Next step is up to you: you can either edit every single /etc/virtual/DOMAIN/filter manually or you can login into DA (as admin), then login to every account and for every domain go to spamassassin settings and save the setup (without making changes). This...
