    Irritating amount of SPAM...

Great! I'll give this a try :) Thanx.

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

@lightningbit: same here, although all spam is redirected to the users spambox and not the inbox. Setting the level to 15 or 29 doesn't matter for this spamflood, even if youset it at 100 these messages will be dropped in your inbox. Bu the sounds of it you suffer the same spamflood as I am. I...

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

Well, my first thought was the spam didin't get delivered in the spamboxes, but I've seen everything is allright. Jocker's solution seems to be the right fix for me :)

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

Seems to work here too, although also no new spam is being written to the spamfolder at all. And if that's truly the case, this not really wanted either; I would like to check the spamfolder for false positives. I will keep my eye on this...! Nice to keep in mind: after editing the template the...

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

Let's see what will happen. For 1 domain I changed the line into: if not first_delivery and error_message then finish endif To me it sounds like it checks wether it is a bounce or original delivery. When it's a bounce, the handling is like we are used to now (so return to the mailbox)...

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

Well, first of all: my trial for the spamfilter seems to work, so you might try that part. What do you see when you look at the source of the e-mail? I bet the field "return-path" is empty (<>)! If so, then this is the problem: e-mails with an empty return-path are not handled correctly and...

    Irritating amount of SPAM...

    I'm having the same problem. Lots of gibrish spam with quite a high score: X-Spam-Flag: YES X-Spam-Level: *************** X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=15.7 required=4.6 tests=BAYES_99,FROM_12LTRDOM, FSL_HELO_BARE_IP_1,FSL_HELO_BARE_IP_2,MISSING_MID,RCVD_IN_BRBL_LASTEXT...

    Incorrect namerservers, errors changing them.

Thanks for the offer, but like I said I found a workaround to solve this. Also I noticed I have to change the nameservers on the user account before I change anything else in the dns on userlevel. After starting this thread I noticed that restoring with local nameservers was not checked in the...

    Incorrect namerservers, errors changing them.

Hi Jeff, No, I'm not using multiserver. Otherwise I would have understand it. Both servers are not linked and the only thing they have in common is one domain on which the nameservers are set, but different for each server. The workaround (delete the first namerserver through DNS settings on...

    Incorrect namerservers, errors changing them.

Hi, I am running 2 servers using DirectAdmin. As the hardware of the first server is getting old and the second one is new I want to transfer all account from server 1 to server 2. I'm doing this by making admin backups on server 1 and restoring them on server 2. Server 2 uses different...

Fresh install - admin login problem

I did reset the password already (twice even), I mentioned it :) My browser accepts cookies, I also tried other browsers and even another machine. No luck so far. Maybe it's worth mentioning I already have another server running (for 5 years), using FreeBSD 7 and DirectAdmin and I have no...

Fresh install - admin login problem

I also have a login problem. Using FreeBSD 9.1 64bit, I installed DirectAdmin according to DA-Rff's manual (http://forum.directadmin.com/showthread.php?t=45333). Almost everything went well, but as usual every system reacts different on a manual. I was able to solve most problems, but now I'm...

    Roundcube 0.2 problem login

I don't know about you, but when I'm at home I use an e-mailclient to read/sent my e-mails. However, when I'm not at home I use webmail clients and in that case I don't want to save any personal information so other, unauthorized, people will be able to read my e-mail as well. But that's just my...

Lost root access after DA install

I didn't know it either untill that friend showed me (and he figured it out himself). Since then I do use it more often, it's easier to use for quick things than vi... :) Maybe I will someday :) Danny

Lost root access after DA install

When logged in into DA with admin rights I go to "File editor". Ofcourse not all files mentioned in this thread are in the pulldown list, so I choose "/usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/edit_files.txt" and hit "Show File". To edit this file I first need to enter the root password below the...

Lost root access after DA install

scsi is right about that. And indeed: that was part of the problem too. But with the same workaround (edit through DA) we managed to solve that one too. Danny

Lost root access after DA install

Correct, but as I understood (and experienced for myself) even using su did not work because the sshd_config file was not properly edited, so root had no rights to logon at all (with SSH). Danny

Do I need to change my license?

Ah, great. I just changed it. I will wait and see how that works out. Thanx! Danny *** edit: I just sent some test mails and it seems they were sent from the right ip now :) ***

Lost root access after DA install

I might have misunderstood it, but isn't this discussion about being unable to login through SSH, even with using su? Like Jeff said: That's why I came up with this solution: when you edit sshd_config from within DA you will be able to restore root-access for use with SSH without the need of...
