    Security - cPanel zero day

And they are already heavily abused, there is a scan script and update solution for this part. I don't know if that also covers the copy_fail issue on CP.

    custom mx templates

They should be work from there, it's alsways first custom directory, and then what needs to be customized. Same as with apache then it's the usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/custom/ap2/ (and then /conf or /conf/extra whatever is needed) so also custom directory after main directory. So the...

Problem with system messages on 1 server to Google (quarantaine)

Hold on, the second one is my-company.nl with a dash in between, dus een streepje er tussen, these are different domain names. When looking at the reports, both servers use the correct header-from, so that is correct. But it fails after that, where server 1 is using "domain mycompany.nl" and...

Solved How can I block this spam coming via Google?

Maybe try with a single = character as it's a setting now and no overrule setting anymore as the default setting is gone with the update. If that still does not work and you want to use a limit, you might want to notify fln in the releasse thread because he said everything should keep working...

Problem with system messages on 1 server to Google (quarantaine)

Yes, so why does that not happen on server 1 then? Because there it's exactly the same. I'm wondering about these lines because these are causing the issue: Server 1: <dkim> <domain>mycompany.nl</domain> Server 2: <dkim> <domain>server2.seconddomain.nl</domain> So why is...

Problem with system messages on 1 server to Google (quarantaine)

Oke I'm fed up now. System messages from 1 server do not give any issues on the google reports. Disposition "none" and the rest passes. On the other server, they go into quarantaine every time, which is odd because I setup the servers the same way, but I can't find the issue or I'm looking...

Also for stable channel? Nice! Then we can update and remove the custom setting.

    DirectAdmin 1.700

In that case....What about the strings.conf.custom and variables.conf.custom file, will these still work? Or do we need another method now to adjust certain values we have customized in there?

Solved How can I block this spam coming via Google?

As stated before, the reason is that the mails are too big and therefor not scanned by Spamassassin, my score was already set to 10. That's also the reason that only a few big mails came through amongst with the chinacvcn.com mail too which was 6M in my case. A stronger rule will most certainly...

Solved How can I block this spam coming via Google?

Yes right, thank you... I didn't see that there as it was not checked because it was bigger than the 2046K I setup it stated in the last line. I now removed the limit completely as we don't need it anymore because with the next DA update this limit will be removed anyway. Then also these bigger...

Solved How can I block this spam coming via Google?

Yes I did that last time when I also changed the SA values, I've got this now in the variables.conf.custom file: EASY_SPF_PASS == -5 EASY_DKIM_PASS == -5 Since nowadays all hosters use correct SPF and DKIM I'm thinking of totally disabling bonus points for these values to 0. Where exactly did...

    CSF Firewall Situation

They might have removed it from the docs. Look for brute_force_notice_ip.sh for example. Might be older but still working. Ah wait... I found the github link again which has a lot more options and more up to date. https://github.com/poralix/directadmin-bfm-csf/

    CSF Firewall Situation

Yes that's the fun of still using CSF. We have the CSF clustering option in place, if one gets blocked on 1 server, they get blocked on almost all servers (the ones we want added in the cluster). However I do understand wht you're saying. But using an attack with another ip can always be done...

    CSF Firewall Situation

There is also Fail2ban which also is not really developped anymore. Fail2ban and CSF/LFD where already there a long time ago and we installed that ourselves. CSF had won the "battle" because it was better than Fail2ban. At a certain point DA more or less integrated but it's not a requirement...

Stop without answering? Try replying again to your ticket and say you answered their question and you are still waiting for their answer and to unlock port 25.

    CSF Firewall Situation

Just to hook in on this. For these two it's exactly the same in cPanel en they also created an own fork for CSF with no vision at the moment and no real changes in the files. So even with paying a lot more for support and stuff, they are not doing better on this than DA.

You're correct, there was another thread where alternatives were shown and some new discussed, I pointed to the wrong one but anyway, this one is running further so never mind. :)

Newbie: Domain registered at Cloudflare, how to set up DNS between DirectAdmin

That depends what you're using. SMTP is nowadays mostly used via port 587 and 465, your mail client uses that to send mail to your server or an external mail service. But if you want your Directadmin server to send and receive your mail, then port 25 needs to be open incoming and outgoing...

    CSF Firewall Situation

I wonder about that too. This could just as well be spoken about in the other thread which he -did- see. https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/csf-future-on-directadmin-%E2%80%94-where-do-we-stand-6-months-after-the-shutdown.82025/ No need to start a new one about the same.
