Community SpamAssassin Rules – Feedback & Contributions Welcome

Yes you certainly should. Because even without the exim.strings.conf.custom there are still RBL checks done by exim.conf and as long as this is not set to 1, then Spamassassin is doing it also, so double checks resulting in sooner reaching limits.

    Internal license IP changes

Because it was in fact a rule. Internal licensces were always intended to datacenters internal ip range. Now more strictly. They won't be that difficult about changes if proof can be given it's still the same datacenter which owns the licenses. However, lot of datacenter licences are "sold"...

    Solved Blocked IP Address

I don't know why you are replying in a 2 year old post (please don't do that) to me, while I was giving an answer, which already states the same which you are now posting. I posted the same in post #2 and post #5. Please do not unnecessary answer to ancient topics. Especially when they are...

    DA-server backup/restore to/from FTP

It still might be refused. The curl error points to more than the initial connection. It can also point out that at a certain point, a connection is refused to a different port. And that can be a valid notice if you are (as I can see) using Passive mode. Passive mode is not working on port 21...

Configure bind to be a caching resolver

I presume this is a typo and you did not forget the ; at the end?

Configure bind to be a caching resolver

This is what I found at RedHat itself: dnssec-enable no; dnssec-validation no; and restart named. It might depend on how the rest of bind is set up. For example, check your /etc/hosts file how localhost is configured, it should point to 127.0.0.1 and no to an external ip address. So like this...

http flooding / AI bots / DOS attacks

At this moment we experience bot attacks especially to phpBB forum software, there are countermeasures which will help, there is a complete topic about it on the phpbb.com forums. Next to that since not too long, we experience attacks from Google Cloud LLC ip's, we got annoyed about the logs...

    DirectAdmin 1.704

Just to be sure, it is not intended that we enable firewalld right? I've just encountered this notice when upgrading: I haven't seen this any time before. We have firewalld disabled on all servers since we just use iptables/nftables. If firewalld needs to be enabled please let us know.

I'll wait before customising things and then having to remove the customisation again. Should be just able to edit it as root.

Discussion: How do you handle your updates?

I normally always run the da build update and then da build update_versions command after it. How often depends on how often there are updates and how important they are.

How to disable Webalizer on a per-User account basis

As far as I know that is not possible, also found an older post from 2021 saying it was not an option for the user.conf file. A feature request can be made but I've not seen any change yet, or I must have missed it.

I can not create more than 5 email while I have unlimited package

The message says it all. The reseller limited your account. This forum is intended for support to Directadmin license holders only, so admins, not hosting customers. And this is one of the reasons, because we can't change settings of the hoster. Please contact your hoster for support on your...

July 2026 – Effectively the end of the DirectAdmin Legacy License

What don't you understand about the term "any"? So yes, discount now also goes for Personal licenses (which are indeed also legacy).

    MariaDB 10.6 End-of-Life

I can understand that, but it can be found on the forums too. Here is the official statement about the discount. https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/july-2026-%E2%80%93-effectively-the-end-of-the-directadmin-legacy-license.81630/page-4#post-400693

Goes also for Personal license if you use that, you get half price on personal plus. As long as it's paid for in time.

changing docroot of domain to a custom one in latest directadmin release

You should be able to change the docroot via directadmin anyway? Maybe it's more helpfull if you can explain which docroot you want to have. Best is to not change any of the template files. There are instructions in the docs how to customize them in a /custom directory. Same for changes in the...

    DirectAdmin 1.703

I'm very curious how that new Exim configuration will be working. Looks very good, Exim won't be talking outgoing to other mailservers on port 25 anymore. Seems a great idea. Just wondering about scripts (so unauthenticated e-mail) which use php mail() but if I'm correct they are not using Exim...
