This is currently not supported with Google Compute Engine or Amazon EC2. While I like using DirectAdmin, in a long run, I have to choose cPanel over DirectAdmin because 1:1 NAT support is already implemented and ready for my clients who increasingly going for Google and Amazon to host their web applications.

You're confusing me. First you write that 1:1 NAT is not supported by Google or Amazon. then you write that cPanel implents 1:1 NAT so it works with both.

Can you clarify and explain in detail exactly what you need to have supported?

Jeff

If you want DA to run on a LAN, there is an "unofficial" guide to get DA running... a good chunk of new installs do use it.
The only reason it's unofficial is due to the workaround to get DA to start up, which may be changed in the future (would require changes to the the license system)
Beyond that, the linked-IP feature makes it very easy to to 1:1 setups.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to DirectAdmin not supporting 1:1 NAT officially in Google CE and Amazon EC2. cPanel, however, has already implemented support for 1:1 NAT hosting environments according to http://releases.cpanel.net/releases/11-40/11-nat-support/.

As for the unofficial support, it works for Amazon. So far, my team has not been able to get it working on Google CE yet. We will re-look into this again in another few weeks.
