2 Major bugs with Directadmin

Hey!
didn't want to open a ticket, so ill open a thread and hope someone from dev will see it..
but wanted to report two Major bugs on DirectAdmin, 1 that crashed the server, the second is ruin mod rewrites.

1. feels like DirectAdmin not realy supporting Imunify360 -
Imunify360 is an important software for servers, as for modsecurity + anti virus and waf.
its not the first time, that imunify360 updates, make all sites on server go forbidden access, and needed to rebuild rewrites.
another bug that not occuring on cpanel with imunify360,
is it installing also some base rules?
and so wordpress sites with elementor, having an issue when they scale a bit up with saving modsecurity blockign it(thats maybe needed to ask imunify360 support)
2. a MAJOR issue that happened yesterday night, during backup to remote FTP to hetzner storage box,
seems like backup went into a loop, causing major server load (70)
and took 16 cores and crashed the server, that had to be hardware reset.
the proccesses that were on "loop" and had many of them are -
mysql --defaults-extra-file=/usr/local/directadmin/conf/my.cnf -e "show full processlist;" -sss
/usr/local/directadmin/directadmin d
around 20 of those two, each one eating 44-50% of one core.
until server gave up.
when restarted server, it started to return, and have to stop the backup process of DA and then it were gone, tried to make another backup creation, and it succed, so i guess it a bug that creates loops on archiving backups or sql? IDK
hope to see a fix for those issues, and see more native support of Imunify360 on DirectAdmin.

I didn't know there was support. I thought it was only cloudlinux. if you look here https://www.imunify360.com/directory
DirectAdmin is not listed. You might need to speak to the Imunify360 people.

Which backup are you referring to? Admin Backup or System backup. I would gather all the logs and data on the incident and report it on a ticket if you have support.
 
Imunify360 is supporting DirectAdmin: https://docs.imunify360.com/installation/#requirements - with these 3rd party products, afaik it's that they support DA, not the other way around, that DA is supporting them. When having issues with imunify360, you should their support. If there is some incomparability they will contact DA themselves if needed.

No idea about the MySQL issue.
 
do you use cloudflare or other cdn (key cdn for example) there is an issue which appears and disappear trough different versions of imunify360 (with cPanel too)

Detect IPs behind CDN just disable it and sites will start to open

about second issue I do not have storage box but they seems to support borg and
