2 servers one DA license - application and database

Hello,
I would like to run 2 servers because one is to slow.
I would like to have one application machine with DA and the second one only with MySQL - is it possible that DA will control these database server?

You just have to run a MySQLd server at the other server, but I can't find in what file you'll have to change it so DirectAdmin uses that MySQL server (it should be somewhere). If that file doesn't exist you could also run only MySQL and DirectAdmin on one server and the other services on an other server (this is possible as long as you copy the right files every xx minutes (the time it takes for a change to become active)).
 
Just use IPTABLES to forward (from internal outgoing to external) the MySQL port to the external server and no other setup in DirectAdmin is necessary. Only transfer the users by copying the data directory from MySQL.
