20 dovecot process running on my server. Is it normal?

Hi all,

As the subject says, i have around 20 dovecot processes running on my server. about 8 of em says imap-login and another amount says pop-login.

Is this normal?

I've recently switched from cpanel->da and this is bothering me a bit as this consumes a lot of memory.

To be frank, my DA server consumes more memory than my cPanel server. As i heard it should be the other way around.

Oh by the way, this is a fresh install, and i've only used the default values for installation.

It's normal; dependent on settings in your dovecot config file.

You can change the configuration and restart dovecot.
