403 Forbidden ? Help

Hey..

After uploading my old website to my new server i just purchased, that has directadmin. I uploaded changed ownership to chown splitech.splitech * -R in /home/splitech Now when i try to open my website in http://www.site.com i get 403 Forbidden? Any Ideas?

You should upload to the public_html directory, and not the root (/home/splitech) directory.

You should have to change the user:group ownership; ftp should update the files properly.

If you've changed the user:group information on the symlinks and or directories in the /home/splitech directory you'll have to ask you hosting companies support team to change them back.
