550 5.3.2 Service currently unavailable

It could be that your provider blocked the use of external smtp servers. So if you are not in the hp office, try using either smtp.hp.com on port 587 or try using the smtp server of your internet provider.

However... it could also be your ip is blacklisted.
Are you using Directadmin? Because hp.com is not on your server, so people should not be able to send mail from [email protected] from your DA server.
If you do not running DA, you're on the wrong forums. Please contact HP.
For example here.

Richard, either you're confused or you've confused me.

RCPT TO:<[email protected]>: does noit mean the address is on his server; it means that he's sending email to that address.

It appears that the server at HP isn't accepting the mail from his server. Likely his IP# is blacklisted.

If I'm missing something, please let me know.

Thanks.

Jeff

Hi Jeff.

Thank you, you are quite correct, I indeed have made a mistake here.
However, I can't imagine why I made it and that I did not see it that way the first time, for some reason I was thinking they used smtp.hp.com in the email client.

Very odd.

Sorry to have confused you both.
