64 bits centos 4.2 x86_64

Hi,

when reading the installation manual there are 2 contridicting things:

RedHat Enterprise / CentOS 3.x, 4.x (64-bit is supported in 4.x only)

and

Also, 64-bit OS's are not supported at this time.

Will DA work without a prob and with support on centos 4.2 x86_64 ?

CentOS 4.x is the only 64-bit OS supported at this time.

64-bit OS's are not supported at this time.

This is probably old as the support for 64-bits is very recent.

I'm using x86_64 right now (CentOS 4.2) and it's fine. Of course, no particular demand from me for 64 bit.

Although, I can't use the on-board NIC (Network Card). Had to put ad Dlink PCI.

Motherboard: ASUS A8N CSM (939 socket)
