A couple questions about backups

Hi, I am a former Cpanel user trying to restore everything by using DirectAdmin. If i have the cpanel fullbackup (.tar.gz), is it possible to restore it using the DA restore function? Because I tried it and the control panel did not respond. Is the only possible way to restore it by manually doing it? Thanks in advance.
 
The DA restore function will only restore DA backups. There is a cpanel to DirectAdmin conversion tool in the 3rd party software forums.
 
I thought the conversion tool worked great!
I installed the tool on my cpanel machine and ran everything. It just converted everything and then put is in the 'export' directory. Then simply logged in to my da machine and did a wget.
After that ran a backup on my da machine for each account. This sets up the 'backup' directory for each user on the da machine.
Then just moved each tar file into the users dir. Then went in to each user and ran the resore function. Worked like a charm was able to do 15 account with about 7 gigs of data in about 2-3 hours.
