Hi,

I have had some trouble with my ISP, changing my IP address without saying :)
After some editing of the DNS records the server is up and running.

Though some few people(that I know of) can't see any of the websites on the apache.

They ping the host and get the correct IP address.

I am clueless

http://www.lag-vejen.dk is one of my websites

I ran into issue several months ago - I never did determine the cause, but solved it by migrating all accounts to a new server and rebuilding the one with the issue. As soon as the accounts were migrated (and the arp cache cleared) everyone was able to hit the sites.

I tried everything from disabling the firewall, to tweaking sysctl values - never did figure out what was causing the issue.

I'm surprised that worked for you Michael; generally the problem is with either a firewall or DNS.

To check to see if it's the firewall turn the firewall off and see if those users can see the site.

I was not. The server was behind our routers, and a couple of switches but no firewalls, IDSs, or IPSs of any kind. There was of course a firewall running on the machine itself, but even disabling that didn't fix things.

Come to think of it, I made a signifigant amount of changes to the /etc/sysctl.conf file - it's possible one or more of those changes caused the problem. -- but, I'm 90% sure I tried restoring it to the backed up original version I had.
