Hi,
So we will be using the grid layout if this makes a difference to keep a familiar style to Cpanel. (Personally, I feel like DirectAdmin should make more effort to maintain the grid layout)

  1. So, when it comes to Cpanel, there is the ability to log in to any user account using the admin password, is this possible?
  2. When logged in as an admin, there is a dropdown on the right side that allows us to navigate between accounts, is this a direct admin feature?
  3. I see there is the ability for a custom CSS file for the front end, as well as changing the DirectAdmin logo, etc. is this possible for the file manager? I feel the colors and layout aren't very good since the update and would like to make changes to the file manager's style.
  4. A previous place where I tested direct admin, the file managers upload function only allowed files up to 500MB, is this a DirectAdmin restriction or one made by that host? Cpanel doesn't seem to have a limit and it would be very frustrating to need to make an FTP account just to upload a zip that is a few GB on DirectAdmin
Thanks for taking the time :)

1. You login to admin, than can enter to any user account without pass. You can't login with user's login and admin's pass.
2. Yes.
3. can't answer, didn't tested it.
4. it's limit on admin page, you can set it higher.

Important difference where some cPanel users need to get used to.
Directadmin does not have a seperate admin only account. Admin is also reseller and user at the same time.
You can ofcourse use this to only login as admin and don't use the reseller and/or user part.

And you can define one or more resellers. A reseller can login to his own account and to his dedicated customers account, not to others, not to the admin.
