A question about the statistics log

Hi,

I'm admin to a website although my knowledge about websites is very poor.

I wonder, now the statistics page "Advanced Web Statistics 6.7 (build 1.892) - Created by awstats" showing our website's statistics log has not been updated since 03 Feb 2011 - 00:25, although it is now February 15.

I wonder, is it something I should do to make the statistics show the website statistics log for later days again? Normally it shows the statistics until the last time it was midnight (approximately).

Best regards,
JessAlfr

Thank you very much! :-)

I found this forum when clicking on where I was logged in as admin from the webpage, and there is also a link called "Site Summary / Statistics / Logs" so I thought they were connected, therefore I asked here. :)

I guess that you with my hosting provider mean AWstats, and now I found a forum for AWstats, so now I will ask in that forum too. =D

(I guess my stupid questions reveals that I'm no computer wizard, but that is OK. :o )

We remove that link replacing it with our Knowledgebase link - not sure if thats permitted by JBMC but it does prevent the situation here.

AWStats is not your hosting provider. Your hosting provider is the company from whom you buy your webhosting. AWStats is a third-party open source solution, which may be available under DirectAdmin, a hosting control panel.

Only your hosting provider knows if they've provided AWStats, and if so, how. And only they can fix it.

It's perfectly reasonable for you to ask questions here in the User-Level Difficulties subforum, but we can't always help you.

Thank you very much for the information. :)
Then I try to instead ask the company that owns the servers that we have the website on. :) I now think that that is the webhost, English is not my mother tounge, and the reason I am editing our website is not that I'm good at computers but because none of us who have this website is good at computers. :P When I read the word "host" I was thinking of someone who is host of a happening/party/dinner (but understood as much as that this was not the definition in "your hosting provider"), and wasn't sure what host is in computer language is (host of what?). :P

Thank you. :)

Servers are traditionally called hosts.

The following may lose everything in the translation, but it's a lot of fun for english speaking computer geeks:

A host is a host,
From coast to coast
And nobody talks to a host that's close,
Unless the host that isn't close
Is busy, hung, or dead.

(Sung to the tune of the theme song from the 'Mr. Ed' television show of old.)
