Hi...

Just a thought.

In all DA I'm running, inside the web pages of the panel, you can see in the footer.
"DirectAdmin Web Control Panel © 2012 JBMC Software"

Just for marketing, this is not cool. Some people might think this has not been updated like for 4 years?

We have people first time DA users, which are not technically inclined and they come from CPanel and Plesk and we talk about details on first impression.

Actually this should be a very simple change in a next release.
Best would be to have 2012 - [ current_year ], to show that the software is modern and mature at the same time...

Hi,

actually the one you reference is related to email messages.
I'm talking about the footer of web pages in the web interface.

Actually what I talk about is hardcoded in "/usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/default/footer.html".
You can see inside this file the following string: "Web Control Panel ©  2006 JBMC Software"
This is repeated on all pages.

My idea is that if JBMC is still holding the copyright is might be a good idea to reflect this on the footer ("2006 - 2016 JBMC Software"). Shows that software is mature and current, too.

[ I also tried to update the footer in this file but it does not show up, maybe I need to also deploy something again? ]

You are right, actually when I log in (at port 2222) with my browser, footer writes exactly as yours: "© 2012 JBMC Software".

But inside usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/default/footer.html it says: "2006 JBMC Software"....

I will have a look at this link soon.

Yes, I see the feature I referred to is not what you were asking about.
I hope it will be fixed soon, anyway if you want a solution here and now, you're welcome to customize the footers files:

/usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/enhanced/footer_bar_2.html
/usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/enhanced/footer_wide.html
