Hi, while adding AAAA DNS register in Direct Admin(DA) realize that DA allows to create a separate register for compact and extended IPv6 under the same domain. Should be this consider a duplicated register?

Yes it is a duplicate. You propably already had ipv6 entry's and DA sees extended as different than shortened. So you can safely delete the extended.

Hi Stije Thanks for your feedback. Really appreciate it.
But he point is DA is allowing duplicate record with AAAA record.

But he point is DA is allowing duplicate record with AAAA record.
That is no problem, not everybody is as good in ipv6, some write it short, other prefer the long way.
Duplicate records with ipv4 are also possible as far as I know.

it's normal, you can duplicate A, AAAA records as much as you want for difference IPs.

It's normal for different ip's, but he wondered because it was the same ip's. But also for same ip's this is normal.
