You can get bruteforce from lots of proxys, blacklist will not help u in that case/

In case you would block after 3 wrong login attempts and to blacklist them, you will already make the work hard for advanced (zombies) bruteforers.

Add a VERY strong password and the work is done.

Password generator -> http://sociopathe.free.fr/genpass.php

It is enough to be safe ;-)

I'm not believe that any body can control bruteforce from more than 1000 proxies
If you block at 10 times for each ip

10000 times is not enaugh to success on the STRONG password.

Set your password to contain all BIG and SMALL char with NUMBERIC (also use SYMBOL if accepted) and avoid word in Dictionary.

Hi guys,
I have a good password dont worry, but ability to change "admin" user name to what ever you want or to disable "admin" user like disabling direct root accses (ssh) is a good suggestion.

You can remove the admin user if you wish. You have to first create a new administrator login on directadmin then login to that new acct then you can delete the other login.
