About Hostname And Domain Name

I just installed DA on centos 5 x86_64. but i made a mistke setting A as my hostname, turned out i can't add A as domain. So, i reset B as hostname, but after it was done when I set A as domain again, it sayed "Cannot create that domain - That domain already exists"

What can i do to set A as domain?

I dont get the question at all. You just entered the letter A as your domain name?

hey buddy it should be in the form

localhost.domain

for example

apache2.simpsa.com

Just remove your "A" domain from the DNS panel (leftover of your previous hostname setting) before adding it as a domain.

Do not use your hostname as a domain name.

For example, do not use a hostname as example.com, or even www.example.com, but instead use something similar to server.example.com.
