Hello All,
Can we use RHEL/CentOS RPM based PHP, instead of compile via custombuild?
The underlying reason is that the PHP shipped from RHEL/CentOS can have longer back-port update maintenance.
For example, CentOS 6 ships with PHP 5.3.3 with 10 years update (bug-fix) maintenance (year 2010 - 2020). Even official PHP team EOL the PHP 5.3 in the future (I guess probably in year 2013, 14, 15, or so), the PHP 5.3 binary can play some time longer with upstream back-port service.
Thank you for your kind attention.
