access 2222 using both http and https?

I followed this tutorial:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=15

and I can access my DA control panel using https (https://ip:2222)

however if I try http://ip:2222 it will auto redirect to https://ip:2222

is there any way to disable this redirection, so that i can use http://ip:2222?

Hello,

As far as I know, it's not possible to use one and the same port for HTTP and HTTPs. HTTP and HTTPS are different protocols; they can't be handled on the same port. So you should choose another port: http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=492
