Access sites whilst DNS down

Hi, we've not moved our DNS over to our DA server yet, as we're not finished with the backups. But is there a way to view the sites, with somthing like http://IP/~username/ to check it's all working?

Yeah, you answered your own question.
http://SERVER_IP/~username

Ah, i thought that might be somthign else, as when i converted all my cpanel clients to DA, all their files etc are there but then i go to IP/~username/ it says welcome to the default da page for suchandsuch

~username shows the default website which can be set in the Domain Administration page.

 

[resolveit]

The view order is index.html, index.shtml, index.htm, index.php.

Check to see on the sites where you get the default DA page what happens if you remove the index.html page (default for DA).
