Hi,

I have used the guide from http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=207 and made sure my IP has reverse lookup- which it does. I waited over a week now for things to resolve: both DNS and IP lookup before I wrote this post.

Basically, the issue is that DirectAdmin e-mails (activation ones more precisely or any sent from the website) go into spam at Gmail.

My IP does not seem to be on any spam list, it is a brand new box with DirectAdmin installed, no users yet.

Since it is gmail doing the filtering then you need to ask gmail why they are automatically filtering it to the spam box.

The thing is though, when I send e-mail through webmail, the e-mail is delivered to Gmail's inbox fine. Thus, it makes me think that it is DirectAdmin's fault but I don't know what could it be.

How can it be DirectAdmin's fault when it is using the exact same mechanism as webmail to send email?

You can spend all day assigning fault, but the only way you're going to know for sure is to ask the Gmail postmaster.
