Activate DOMXML?

I've installed libxml2 on my webserver, running CentOS 4 and DA.

I compiled PHP 4.4.4 with '--with-domxml', but the extension are not active yet.

For PHP info check: PHPINFO

How can I activate extension? Must I add something in php.ini?
