Hi,

I'm fairly new at DA, but I'm a DA fan, user and now since few weeks a DA admin...

I've searched through the forums but didn't find the info (or missed it), so here I am:

situation :
- I've a server, with a ipv4 and ipv6 address
- adding the AAAA records in DA DNS management works
- but of course, browsing to the ipv6 variant of a website just gives me a 1 line "apache is functioning normally" in stead of the default DA page "Welcome to the home of ..."

Question 1:
I understand of course, this is due to not having a virtual host listening on the ipv6 address of my server (correct?)

Question 2:
so I should adapt each "usr/local/directadmin/data/users/****/httpd.conf" and duplicate what is there for IPv4 to IPv6 ?

Question 3:
but, to make life easier, can I change a template, so it is done automatically?
(assuming this is the template: usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/httpd.conf, and it needs to be copied to the custom directory?)
so that when a new user is created, and he/she adds a domain, the IPv6 is included nice an clean in the resulting httpd.conf

Thanks in advance

L.

The next version of DirectAdmin will support ipv6 at more places (everywhere?) by allowing one reseller/user to own multiple ip's. I'd try the latest beta, or wait a few more days. If all goes to plan the current beta will be released as stable this Monday.

I hope it will become available soon, because:
- I added the ipv6=1 directive to directadmin.conf & restarted
- but I could not add an IPv6 in DA anywhere, so I tried manually to:
- adapt the virtual_host2 to a custom template, and I could see the user httpd.conf generated ok with IPv6 address in the virtual host & I restarted
- I'm using csf script for firewall, including ip6tables, allowing through on port 80 for ipv6
- httpd does not seem to listen on ipv6?
- I cannot connect to my website on IPv6 (always falls back to IPv4, when I force my browser and use the IPv6 address directly, it cannot connect)

I hope the monday release will make this easier and make it work, otherwise,
if anyone has a hints on get this going for IPv6 (or a quicksteplist to follow to get this working) I would appreciate

L.
