Hi,

We've a problem with adding new users to DirectAdmin. When i want to create a new user account it does not gives me the succeed page, but it does create the user.

When i want to login with the just created user it gives me the following error:

Cannot determine user type

When i check the /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/USER/ folder, the user.conf is missing.

If i manually add that conf file i can login with the user. What can be the problem?

I cannot edit my post?

I''ve already tried to run the "set_permissions.sh" script and rebooted the server after correcting the permissions. But that has not helped to solved the problem.

had you tryed

/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/fix_da_user.sh USERNAME

script for fix the broken user?

Regarding the creation maybe the da support should help you better, but, you should start da in debug mode for see if show any error on creation.

Regards

Running the fix user script does not solve the issue. It creates the user + folders it needs but it takes around 5 minutes before my add_user page finishes the request.

Check with directadmin's logs. Do you have any custom post/pre scripts? Do you use Multi Server function?

According to information, you've given it's hard to say anything helpful. Somebody should take a look at your server.
