admin backup restore problem

we are having issue with restoring backup
i used ftp method to transfer backup to new server but the restore attempt was unsuccessfull error message shown IP does not exist.

i selected the option Use the IP stored in the backup as we wanted to keep the old ips also our datacenter tech agreed to give the same IPs once the restore process is done .

after seeing the error IP does not exist i moved to DA IP management added all the old IPs then i tried to restore the backup using the FTP but this time i got error as ncftpls: cannot open <ip>: username and/or password was not accepted for login. then i removed this IP from DA IP management now it gives another error Could not connect to <ip>: No route to host.
ncftpls: cannot open <ip>: could not connect to remote host

dont know whats going on.anybody else experienced same before? please help me.

If you moved an IP from one server to another one, you might need to clear routes on the server and router.

To show the route cache:

ip route show cache

To clear the route cache:

ip route flush cache
