Anyone using this backup option? Currently I use the user backup option from each reseller account (I like to organise my clients/ip's in resellers).

Is this 100% fool-proof on a restore? As today I came across a server with a failing drive, and when it totally goes, need something easy and quick (restore).

Thanks

NB. Might be the wrong forum to ask, move if needed. Had a hectic day, sorry

We moved several servers with admin backup/transver, no problems at all.
Fool-proof? Well... almost. There are some things you should keep in mind when restoring.
Like which ip you choose, if you want to restore with local nameservers or nameservers from the backup. Also it would be a good idea to have apache and mysql versions the same as on the old server.
And ofcourse it's best to first restore admins, then restore resellers (if necessary check if their own nameservers are restored if they use them) and restore the users at last.
You can also do them all at once on a restore, but we found this way it works best.

And yes indeed, maybe somebody can move the topic to a more appropriate section.:)

We've been using it for years for daily automated backups. It generally does what it's supposed and always notifies us when it fails, through the message system, or even by email if you have the message system set to send you emails.
