admin has no "rights" in phpmyadmin

Hallo,

We run apache server FreeBSD:

MySQL 4.1.12 Running

ProFTPd 1.2.10 Running

vm-Pop3d 1.1.6 Running

mysqld mysqld

vm-pop3d vm-pop3d

when admin logs in, he can make a new db in mySQL. But going to phpMyAdmin, it syas he has no rights.
Thus it is impossible to upload mysql files to the db.

Can someone help us, as we cannot install/run progs that need dbases...

Usually the best way to fix this is to run

/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/mysql.sh

It usually fix most problems. If not you can always reset your root user in mysql.

from other location it's no problem

thanks for your reply.
We've tried from another location, and ther's no problem to login, haviing all the rights to add, change etc.
But from our LAN, no way.
we tried with laptop XP, FC2,m FC4, XP prof. from several boxes, with modemconnection the old fashioned way: nothing helps.

Our IP changed in DHCP from our Gateway, no result...

Logging in in D/A as admin, resetting pass, etc no way.

This is what the error log says:
